Dice Games : How to Play Bowling Dice

Are you an avid bowler but your elbow has
been hurting you a little bit and you still
want to have some of that fun? My name is
Dean Hale and I’m going to teach you how to
play bowler’s dice. What you do is your roll
the dice and it’s pretty simple. You are going
to have frames just like in bowling. If you
roll two fives, that’s a strike. If you roll
two sixes that’s a gutter ball and you lose
your turn. If you roll one five, you are going
to take that five aside and you are going
to roll the next die. If you roll another,
if you roll a five, you get a spare. If you
don’t roll a five, let’s say you roll a three,
you are going to have a five and a three,
so you are going to have eight for that frame.
Scoring is done much the same way as is done
in bowling, you are going to have frames ten
frames. When you get to the tenth frame, just
like in bowling, you are going to get three
turns. Now to get that third ball you must
have a spare or strike on your second ball
or your second roll of the dice. So to summarize
fives, two fives are going to give you a strike.
Two sixes, that’s a gutter ball you lose your
turn. You keep score all the way through,
add up your score at the end and maybe you
can roll a perfect three hundred. My name
is Dean Hale and I’ve just taught you how
to play bowler’s dice. I have one five.
