RAINN Studios Announces Incantris – A World of Magic. A Game of Skill.
RAINN Studios is extremely pleased to announce Incantris, a strategy game of wizardly combat. I’m Heath with RAINN Studios, and Seth and I are extremely excited about getting back to our game design roots and being able to bring you this board game. We’ve been developing it for about 18 months, a little more than that now, and we are going to be bringing it to Kickstarter at the end of the summer. Incantris is a game for up to four players. In it, each player is going to take control of a team of three wizards, and each wizard, each spell casting character has different spells, different strengths, different weakness, for you to strategize with during the game. We had put out a call to the RAINN Studios community for playtesters and we got over one hundred people involved in the playtest of Incantris. We got lots of great feedback. We’ve been doing iterations of the game, new versions. It has become an extremely strong and extremely robust game, and we appreciate everyone who has been involved in that. Let’s talk for just a moment about the artistic talent that’s involved. In order to develop the art and the look of the game, we have been working very closely with Artur Jag and many of you will know Artur from the TerraTiles: Tundras and Wastelands campaign. He does incredible work and he has really brought to life the kind of world we wanted for Incantris. He has already put together the box top for the game, so lets check that out now. This box top features two of the wizardly characters that Incantris features and you can have control of as player during the game. Now, exactly who they are and what they do, well that is something we will be talking about in future videos in the lead-up to the Kickstarter campaign. But also, in order to do the miniatures for the game, we have enlisted the talent of Dan Jack with Atlantis Miniatures, and he does absolutely phenomenal work. He has done is own Kickstarters for his own line of miniatures and all of them are fantastic. We are extremely pleased to have him with us because he has been looking at the work that Artur has been doing very closely and then developing miniatures for the game that fit exactly with the kinds of stuff that Artur has been producing. It is absolutely incredible. We can’t wait to be able to show you some of that work. So, in order to find out more, please visit Incantris.com. We are going to have a sign up there so we will let you know as soon as the Kickstarter campaign goes live, but in the meantime, we are going to be bringing out a lot more content about Incantris in the coming months. We’re going to be talking about the world and the story. We are going to be looking at the art, we are going to be taking a look at the miniatures. We are going to be looking at game play, we are going to be looking at strategy and how to play. We are also going to be releasing a print-and-play publicly so that everybody can get involvd and everybody can check out Incantris and see what it is all about. There is a lot of stuff coming this way. So, please subscribe to this channel that way you will know as soon as all the videos are released, but also, we are going to be setting up kind of “home base” on Board Game Geek. We have established a Board Game Geek page for Incantris, so please check it out. I’ll put the link down below so you can become a fan of the game, subscribe to the game. We are going to be posting a whole lot of content there and that is where we will be talking about it with the community. So please remember to check that out. So we are extremely excited about Incantris and everything we have going on with it. It is a fantastic game. And, we are excited to have you as part of our Incantris community over the next few months as we bring all this material out. We look forward to hearing from you and what you think. So, I’ll be looking forward to seeing you in many more videos, but in the meantime, happy gaming.
